Here’s the compatibility gotcha we have to correct on other companies’ estimates regularly: a “universal” 7/16-inch stem roller is not universal. The Clopay hinge tube is slightly narrower than the knockoff hinges some parts websites assume you have. The fix is simple. The stem is either 4 inches or 5.25 inches long, and Clopay doors consistently use the shorter 4-inch variant. We’ll measure it on site before anything gets ordered or installed.

On the OEM versus aftermarket decision: Clopay’s factory nylon rollers are fine. Excess movement when the door is halfway up. A roller that’s lost its nylon tire has play in the track. If you can shake the door panel forward and back more than half an inch with the door mid-cycle, the roller is beyond saving. Keep in mind that once a roller leaves the track entirely, the door drops. That’s a safety issue, not a noise complaint.
